Who am I?

Hi. My name is Ken Breuer. I am 42 years old. I am married to a wonderful woman named Kris. We have five blessed children, each whom we are very proud of. My hobbies are coaching baseball, football, basketball, and soccer. I also play the drums in a band for our church. I love playing with our children and teaching them new things. I really enjoy the looks on their faces when they learn something new. My wife and I have been married for 16 years now. The names and ages our children are as follows: Luke, 15; Megan, 13; Elizabeth, 10; Anna, 8; and Joey, 3. We live in Slinger, Wisconsin next door to my brother, his wife, and their four children. Ours and their children get along very well. They are all very close to each other. We all live only about a half of a mile away from our parents and where we grew up as children. My parents live on a farm and our children help them out whenever possible. My major is in special education.

My current level of technology skills is very limited compared to most college students. This is mainly because I didn't grow up with computers like the people I am going to school with. I do know how to surf the internet, check my families e-mail, and maneuver my way around the UWO website to check my grades, school e-mail, d2l, etc. and I am learning more everyday.

  1. Hi Ken- Thanks for the comments! Looks like you have a wonderful family. I am also glad to see that you are continuing your education. Having a family and going to school at the same time demands a lot. I understand as a returning student, it is hard to pick up where you left off. Don't worry, your computer skills will gradually pick up. All it takes is determination.

What made you decide to come back to school and major in spec ed?

    Take care!

  2. Hello Ken- I think it is great to hear that you live so close to where you grew up. It is a great thing(normally) to live by all those memories. The house my wife and I just bought was the one that she grew up in for a couple years. Also I think it is wonderful that you play drums at your church. Any help musically is greatly appreciated by all church musicians. So on behalf of them. Thank you!
